His only complaint is that sometimes the snowball breaks before he launches it, but that could be due to the snow being too powder like. Otherwise with the constent snowfall he is having fun using them. If the snow isn't the right type, when you release the snowball it may break apart. Think of this gun as more of a catapult than gun....there is no precision aiming. Lastly, I have a 7 and 10 year old....neither one can pull it back far enough to launch it more than 10 or 15 yards.
