I recently purchased two of these sleds for my 17 mo.twin girls, and they loved the experience of riding around the yard in our first snow of the year.After reading reviews for a less expensive item that is very similar,I was worried about stability. However this sled is very sturdy and doesn't flex too much. The child is strapped in and there is a foam pad on the back and seat to help prevent slippage. They can lean over a little and touch the snow, but not enough to flip thanks to the wide base. Also has a long enough tow rope for parents to comfortably pull along behind. Works great on the living room carpet to get them use to the idea of riding in it. We just used this sled for the first time. My 8 month old son absolutely loved it! The seat sits up off the ground, so that baby's bottom won't get cold. My husband went up/down some inclines with the sled (no one listens to mommy's objections), and the sled was very stable. Also, baby is very secure when strapped in.
